Over five months, participants complete five modules (each 6 ECTS credits), covering both the business and technological facets of AI in E-Commerce and Retail Marketing. Each module blends theory with practical application, ensuring concepts are linked to real executive decisions.

Establishes a foundation in modern Business Strategy, with emphasis on how digital disruption are reshaping competitive dynamics. Students will  learn to align this digital and technological development with overall business goals, drive organisational change, and manage the ethical and governance considerations of deploying this technological change.  This module reinforces critical thinking skills to tie this change to value creation and ROI.

Maps the current landscape and emerging trends in e-commerce and omni-channel and phygital retail. Participants examine digital consumer behaviour, online business models, and platform ecosystems. The module provides context on why AI is critical today, understanding  how online marketplaces, mobile commerce, and shopper data streams create opportunities for AI-driven innovation. 

This module explores how Artificial Intelligence is transforming the e-commerce landscape by enabling hyper-personalised experiences, optimising logistics and pricing, and automating customer engagement. Students will gain insight into practical applications of AI from recommendation engines and chatbots to predictive analytics and dynamic pricing strategies. Also the will be able to critically assess AI tools, understand their impact on consumer behaviour and operational efficiency, and apply data-driven decision-making to enhance competitiveness in phygital retail environments. 

A deep dive into the fast-growing world of retail media networks and data-driven marketing. This module examines how AI can optimise advertising placement, targeting, and measurement on retailer platforms. Learn about programmatic advertising, AI-driven customer targeting, and attribution in an omnichannel context. This course prepares you to leverage AI for maximising ROI in marketing campaigns and to collaborate effectively with marketing teams and agencies on technology-enabled ad strategies. 

In this module, theory meets practice through an applied project. You will identify a real-world challenge in your business (or an industry case) and develop an AI-driven solution or strategy to address it through application of the concepts and tools learned in previous modules.

The Professional Postgraduate Certificates are structured as a coherent journey that builds strategic understanding and technical skills step by step. Over five months, participants complete five modules (each 6 ECTS credits), covering both the business and technological facets of AI in E-Commerce.

Admission Requirements

    • Proof of command of the Spanish language, mainly level C1 (CEFR).
    • Proof of command of the English language, level B2 level (or equivalent) for reading only.

Applicants are invited to apply directly online (click here). Along with an application form, applicants need to submit:

  • Latest degree (in English, Spanish or French).
  • Proof of command of the English or Spanish language depending on the choice of campus (see “admission requirements”).
  • Passport or ID card
  • “Professional” portrait photo
  • CV
  • Any other certificate of academic achievement / other awards, if applicable.
  • 500-word personal statement: a critical analysis of the programme’s potential contribution to the applicant’s personal and professional development.

Note: All students attending UBI programmes are expected to bring their personal laptops for all academic activities. Laptops should be capable of handling connections, especially run AI-related on-line applications. 

 
  • The admissions team assesses each application package and makes recommendations based on the academic requirements and on the candidate’s overall suitability for the programme.
  • Candidates recommended by the admissions team are invited for a 30-minute interview with the Programme Director. Interviews for candidates are usually conducted online via Zoom.
  • Successful candidates receive a letter offering admission within 30 days of the personal interview.

  • The regular tuition fees for students enrolling in UBI’s Professional Postgraduate Certificate is €3,500.
