The Venture Creation Lab empowers aspiring entrepreneurs across all the UBI programmes by taking them on a journey from ideation to funding. This innovative programme seamlessly blends academic rigor with invaluable industry mentorship, guiding students over 6-12 months on an immersive journey from initial concept to a well-defined business model. This programme is especially crafted to balance the entrepreneurial focus and skills required to succeed in the industry along with critical thinking and evaluation necessary for strong academic pedagogy.<\/p>

Students develop a keen eye for identifying and analysing market gaps through a curriculum focused on market research methodologies. Specialised workshops such as design thinking, product-market fit, and scalability equip students with the tools necessary to transform their ideas into practical business solutions. Each student receives dedicated guidance from an experienced industry mentor, leveraging their entrepreneurial expertise to navigate challenges and refine their vision.<\/p>

We have focused on authentic assessments that mirror the realities of entrepreneurship, incorporating skills like crafting elevator pitches, delivering market research presentations, and constructing comprehensive business models with financial projections and strategic roadmaps. The assessments are spread through the 6-12 months to be milestone moments in their journey of developing their passion into a viable business model.<\/p>

TOPhealth App<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe outbreak of COVID-19 has given a new impetus to the development of telemedicine. \u00a0Despite the fight against coronavirus infection, other patients still need the advice of medical specialists. However, the fear of getting infected is increasingly pushing people to look for alternatives, namely, there is a need to seek advice online without leaving home, and without risking their health and the health of their loved ones.\n

\nThe main idea of \u200b\u200bTOPHealth is to create an application in the field of telemedicine, which will enable the population to receive the necessary and, most importantly, affordable medical care in a timely manner using all possible operating systems of the modern world, be it mobile devices, desktop or laptop computers. This application will help not only patients, but also doctors in obtaining \/ providing remote medical services without a physical presence in a medical institution.\n

\nThe business model that I describe in my project involves two types of clients: patients who seek help from a doctor, and the doctor himself who provides services in the field of telemedicine. This applications brings about a number of benefits to both parties, namely:\n

  1. Time saved\u00a0that was previously spent on finding a suitable clinic, on transport, waiting in line, and much more.<\/li>\n \t
  2. Real possibility of social distancing, thanks to the remote way of providing services.<\/li>\n \t
  3. Choice of suitable specialists through online catalogs, and analysing\u00a0all the available information, reviews and recommendations before making an appointment, so patients can be confident in the effectiveness of the appointment.<\/li>\n \t
  4. Physicians will be able to significantly increase the coverage of potential patients with the time saved, which in turn will have a positive effect on increasing their income.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \nThe benefits provided by applications in the field of telemedicine are not at all limited to the points above, but analyses show that the business opportunity in this industry is promising with important growth predicted in the near future.\n\nToday, in these difficult times, creating a new business is quite risky and problematic, but it seems to me that at the same time, the complexity of the current situation gives us the opportunity to come up with something not just new, but valuable in terms of usefulness, capable of solving problems, \u00a0that we encounter in everyday life.
